Biography of Philip JacksonPhilip Jackson was born in Retford, Nottinghamshire on 18th June 1948. He is a British actor, perhaps best known for playing Chief Inspector Japp in Agatha Christie's Poirot and Abbot Hugo de Rainault, brother to the Sheriff of Nottingham, in Robin of Sherwood. He currently resides in Hanwell, West London with his wife (actress Sally Jackson), son (George Jackson) and daughter (Amy Jackson).
